How To Restore Files In Windows Vista


There is another process in Windows operating system which is quite important and you should know besides backup process. It is the restore process. Usually, we perform the restore process when we want to get back our data that we lost. As long as we have the backup folder which contains the lost data, it is possible for us to restore it.


The Case

Let say, you accidently delete your important files. But you are lucky when before this, you had backed up the files using the built-in Windows� backup utility named Backup and Restore Center. You had saved that backup files in your external hard disk.

So now, in this post, you will learn how to restore your important files using the same backup utility provided by Windows.  


Before The Procedures

You must attach the external hard disk which contains your backup files into your computer�s USB port before you perform The Procedures below.


The Procedures

  1. Click images_thumb2 --> click All Programs �-> find and click the Maintenance folder in the list of program �-> click Backup and Restore Center

  2. You will be redirected to the Backup and Restore Center�s panel like below

  3. Click button Capture --> the Restore Files� window like below appears

  4. Click radio button Files from the latest backup �-> click Next �-> the interface below appears.

  5. Click button Add files� �-> the window of Add files to restore like below appears.

  6. Choose the important files that you deleted �-> click button Add �-> the interface below appears.

  7. Click button Next �-> the another interface appears like below.

  8. Choose the location you want, to restore your deleted files �-> click button Start restore �-> wait for restore process to run �-> click button Finish.
